December Birthday Celebration – Cupcakes

Good Afternoon Friends,
We completed our third celebration order for the month of December! Cupcakes galore 🙂

December Birthdays - All Three Cupcakes

Our cupcake flavors included:

*Gingerbread with Dulce de Leche, Fleur de Sel Caramel, and Cinnamon Red Hot

Gingerbread Cupcake with Dulce de Leche

*Coffee & Cream with White Chocolate and Chocolate Covered Espresso Bean

Coffee & Cream Cupcake with White Chocolate

*Marbled Chocolate & Vanilla with Milk Chocolate and Mini Chocolate Chips

Marbled Chocolate & Vanilla Cupcake with Milk Chocolate

The gingerbread cupcakes were so moist with the just the right amount of spice and the coffee cupcakes melted in your mouth with the cream balancing out the coffee flavor. The marbled cupcakes had thick swirls of vanilla and chocolate batter so you could taste both flavors.

As far as the topping was concerned, we were determined to stay away from icing thinking it would make the cupcake too sweet. But, cupcakes aren’t complete without a decorative topping. We attempted to make the cupcakes aesthetically pleasing by incorporating the complementary flavors of caramel, white chocolate, and milk chocolate.

However, in retrospect, we realized that the icing is at least half of what you look forward to when eating a cupcake. So, we plan to re-think our approach in order to achieve all of the parameters: customer expectations, aesthetics, and reduced sugar content. We’ll keep you posted on our results!
