Having gone through the logo design process successfully and with great enjoyment, I am excited to start writing about the company I’m developing with my mom. But, before I do that, I want to share a bit about the gentleman that helped us develop the logo of our dreams. His name is Bill Main of Bill Main Illustration.
While I had an initial design, I was very much unsure of how it would materialize in a digital format. Bill took great lengths to help me communicate our style and purpose, which has continued to be very important as I attempt to brand our company. Choosing the font was an interesting part of the process. Unable to load the Microsoft Word font I chose, Bill found the font and drew it so he could load it – how cool is that?!! After a few months of edits and new ideas going back and forth – there were so many fun details 🙂 – we arrived at a finished product that we are both incredibly proud of.
I wanted to highlight the fact that Bill personalized an otherwise dry and rigid design process. The energy and excitement that he brought to my job really excited me about what I was entering into as an entrepreneur as well as all the logo design possibilities. I will always be appreciative of his understanding and patience when my dear grandfather suffered a stroke about halfway through the process. Taking time to help my family caused a number of delays which Bill graciously took in stride. Thank you, Bill!!!
